Screen jumps, touch isn't reacting properly

So I just updated to iOS 10 on my iPhone 6, now when I scroll the screen jumps and jitters around. In general, the touch isn't responding very well at all. If i hold my finger on the screen while scrolling or while trying to put the cursor in place for editing, it will open other screens or search bars. am i the only one having this issue?
